Weldon’s competitive experience is at the highest levels of the National Bird Hunters Association (NBHA), handling his own dogs and guiding others toward success.
Some of his most notable accomplishments include:
- Runner-Up Champion at the NBHA Western Regional Championship with Rendrag’s Lucky Piper
- Consistent callbacks at the prestigious NBHA National Free-For-All Championship, three years running
- Multiple placements with German Shorthairs and Vizslas at regional trials, including the Sharptail Field Trial Club and the Kurt Ochsner Memorial
- Serving as a judge for NBHA Amateur Shooting Dog stakes and mentoring upcoming handlers
